Starting March 31, 2026, all Gem amounts across Manta will increase by 10×. This includes Gem balances, the number of Gems included in Gem bundles, and content unlock prices, which will all display higher numbers across the platform. This update changes the scale of Gems, while the overall value of Gems stays the same.

We’d like to let you know about an upcoming update to the Gem system on Manta.
As of March 31, 2026 (11:00 ET), Gems across the platform will move to a new 10× scale to support more flexible promotions and discounts. While Gem numbers will change, the value of Gems, in terms of the amount of content they unlock, remains the same.
How Gems work today
On Manta, Gems are used to unlock content, including comic episode, or novel chapters and volumes.
Currently:
- Comic episodes typically cost 3–6 Gems
- Gem bundles include between 20 and 625 Gems
- Premium plan members receive 142 Gems each month
What’s changing
As of March 31, 2026, all Gem amounts across Manta will increase by 10×.

Why we’re making this change
Increasing the Gem scale allows us to introduce more flexible discounts and promotions.
With the current Gem scale, discounts can only be applied in whole Gems. For example, if an episode costs 5 Gems, it isn’t possible to offer a discount of half a Gem.
This also makes it difficult to apply certain percentage-based discounts. For example, a 10% discount on an episode that costs 5 Gems would equal 0.5 Gems, which cannot currently be applied.
By increasing the scale of Gems, we can apply more flexible and precise discounts.
What stays the same
Although the numbers will increase, the overall value of Gems remains the same.
You can think of this update as changing the scale of a currency. The numbers will look different, but the value stays the same.
