Gems are our in-app currency that can be used to unlock comics and novels.
You can fill up your Gems directly in our app or via the Manta web.
- In the case of filling up Gems in-app, an in-app purchase will appear from your respective app store and you will be able to checkout with your registered payment method.
- In the case of filling up gems on the Manta web, Stripe is the default option when accessing via a desktop, but depending on your device, you may have other payment options (like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal).
Where to fill up Gems
You can fill up your Gems from the Gem box (found in the More section), from a Series Home page, and even from within the comic or novel viewer. Don’t worry - we’ll explain the steps in detail below!
Fill up Gems from the Gem box
- Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner to reach the More section.
- Click on the Gem box.
- Select the Gem bundle to fill up.
- After selecting, finish your fill up in the pop-up.
- The number of Gems filled up will be confirmed at the end!
Fill up Gems within the comic or novel viewer:
- When you want to read a comic or novel you haven’t unlocked yet, you may be prompted you to fill up your Gems if you do not have enough to unlock.
- After choosing the episode, volume or chapter click on the “Fill up Gems” button to proceed with filling up your Gems.
- A pop-up will show you how many Gems you need in order to unlock the content you have selected.
- Select the number of Gems to fill up.
- Finish filling up the Gems.
- The number of Gems you have filled up will be confirmed at the end
Keep track of your Gems
After filling up your Gems, you can easily keep track of them in the Gem box (also located in the More section). The Gem box will show your “paid” and “with an expiration” Gems.
Paid Gems are the ones that you have purchased yourself, while Gems with an expiration date are ones that you’ve earned through events or promotions.The expiration period of Gems earned through promotions is detailed in the event terms.
The Gem box will show how many Gems you have that are expiring soon, and if you enable notifications, you can receive PUSH reminders about your expiring Gems.
