What are Gems and how do I fill them up?

Gems are our in-app currency that can be used to purchase novels and series/episodes.

You can fill up your Gems in three main places: the Series Home (you can fill up directly within the volume viewer as well), or in the More section. Don’t worry - we’ll explain the steps in detail below!

You can fill up your Gems directly in our app (an in-app purchase will appear from your respective app store) and you will be able to pay for them with your payment method registered on your respective app store.

You can also fill up your Gems through Manta on the web.

Fill up Gems within the viewer or series home:

1. When you want to read an episode/volume(s) you haven’t unlocked yet, you may be prompted you to fill up your Gems if you do not have enough to unlock.
2. After choosing which episode/volume(s) to unlock, click on the “Fill up Gems” button to proceed with filling up your Gems.
3. A pop-up will show you how many Gems you need in order to unlock the episode/volume(s) you have selected.
   1. Note: You can fill-up Gems as you go, or subscribe to our Premium plan, which comes with a monthly refill of 125 Gems and access to our subscription library for ONE monthly fee!
      
4. Select the number of Gems to fill up.
5. Finish filling up the Gems.
6. The number of Gems you have filled up will be confirmed at the end

Filling up Gems in the More section:

1. Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner to reach the More section.
2. Click on the Gem box.
3. Under the “Fill up” section, you can select the number of Gems to fill up.
4. After selecting, finish your fill up in the pop-up.
5. The number of Gems you have filled up will be confirmed at the end!

After filling up your Gems, you can easily keep track of them in the Gem box (also located in the More section). The Gem box will show your “paid” and “bonus” Gems, as well as offer the options to Fill up or view your Transactions.

Paid Gems are the ones that you have purchased yourself, while bonus Gems are ones that you’ve earned through events or promotions! Bonus Gems usually have an expiration date (the Gem box will show how many Gems you have that are expiring soon).

You can fill up as many Gems as you need to unlock as many volumes as you want!

As of now, Gems cannot be used across different accounts or content languages.
